Worship is Life ministry is a mission that came to Todd Marshall out of a word from the Holy Spirit of God.
Todd says, “In 2013, from Sunday May 12th to Wednesday May 15th the Spirit of God spoke three messages straight into my spirit. His voice was clearer than I’ve ever heard before. The first two messages made it clear that He was calling us to leave Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle where I had ministered and served as worship pastor, along with my family, for over 13 years.
The third message was, ‘I have given you a message for My Church about worship and I am positioning you so this message will have a greater influence.’ One week later on Wednesday May 22nd I heard Him say ‘I will not share my glory.’ That led me to Isaiah 42:8: ‘I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.’
Within two weeks I shared with our staff, team, and congregation that we would be leaving to follow His call. Over the next two months the Spirit of God began to write a message on my heart for His Church regarding the biblical pattern for worship, the battle for our worship, and the key for growing God’s kingdom.”
Todd has served the Lord, along with his wife Brenda, as an Assemblies of God minister since he graduated from North Central University in 1985. Their ministry has been marked with a love for God and a love for His Church. Over a period of 28 years Todd served in two Assemblies of God congregations and one Fellowship of Christian Assemblies congregation. He served the entire time as Worship Arts Pastor as well as Youth Pastor for seven years. Todd and Brenda recently helped plant a church in Woodbury, MN. Todd has received his masters in worship studies from the Institute for Worship Studies in Jacksonville, FL and currently serves as the District Worship Arts Director for the Minnesota Assemblies of God.
Realizing that for a person to worship God they must first know God’s story, Todd and Brenda have produced and directed Christmas and Easter presentations that through the years have been attended by over 200,000 people. Many souls have been saved, set free, and ushered into the presence of God.
Todd says, “The Spirit of God is sending us out with His message for His Church. It’s His worship, His message, His Church, and His world. ‘Worship is Life’ ministry brings a theology, a philosophy, and an implementation of biblical worship that permeates all of life for the purpose of growing God’s kingdom.”
Todd and Brenda have a daughter Kelsie who is married to Ben Freitag. Kelsie and Ben serve the Lord together at Summit Church in St. Paul, MN where Kelsie serves in worship and youth ministry and Ben serves on staff as youth pastor. Todd and Brenda also have a son Taylor who is 18 years old who serves the Lord in worship ministry playing multiple instruments and leading students in worship and is attending North Central University as a worship arts pastor major.
